My Dress-Up Darling ( Bisque Doll) :

Despite being passionate about his dream he is clueless about the latest trend. His life took an unexpected changed when he’s roped into helping the popular Marin Kitagawa with her cosplay dreams.
2.5 Dimensional Seduction :

An enjoyable binge-watch, particularly for fans of My Dress-Up Darling or those who enjoy anime with a focus on cosplay and relationships. Based on a romantic cosplay comedy manga written and illustrated by Yu Hashimoto. The president of the Manga Research Club – Masamune Okumura, finds his peaceful life turned upside down by an unexpected new member Ririsa Amano. Being a passionate Liliel coser she convinces him to become her personal photographer. Masamune unexpectedly finds his new passion for photo editing while exploring new modeling and cosplayer world.
Cosplay Complex :

“Cosplay Complex” is a Japanese original video animation (OVA) series that revolves around a group of girls and their cosplay club at East Oizumi Academy where they practice and prepare for cosplay competitions. Currently, their group is struggling and luckily a new member and a magic fairy come their way, raising their expectation to become cosplay champions. There are only three episodes in total. The show is more skewed toward fan service than actual cosplaying. The series was directed by Shinichiro Kimura and animated by TNK.
Comic Party :
It was first released for the PC in 1999 and gained popularity due to its adult content and inspiration from the Comiket event held in Japan during the Summer and Winter. The real breakthrough occurred when the game was re-released for the Sega Dreamcast, this time without the adult content.

The story, in any version, revolves around Sendou Kazuki who, with some persuasion from his “friend” Kuhonbutsu Taishi, decides to become a doujinshi mangaka and sell his work at Comic Party, which is the story’s equivalent of Comiket. Kazuki’s childhood friend, Takase Mizuki, tries to dissuade him as she finds otaku to be dirty, smelly, and disgusting. What made the story unique was not only its focus on otaku, doujinshi, and being a fan of anime and manga, but also the presence of a character who despised otaku and all things anime. Although the story loosely explores conflicting ideologies among the characters, it sets the stage for shows like Genshiken and NHK ni Youkoso! to delve deeper into these issues. This anime may not be for everyone, but for those who are willing to give it a try, or who consider themselves to be otaku, may find themselves enjoying the series.
The Genshiken :

Shy college freshman, Kanji Sasahara, is simply searching for a place to belong. He unexpectedly discovered the Genshiken club, a group dedicated to all aspects of modern otaku culture. His pride wounded by his senior, Madarame, Sasahara’s first club meeting ends poorly, and he leaves stubbornly refusing to acknowledge his otaku identity. But after befriending the surprisingly nerdy Makoto Kousaka, Sasahara got more involved in the club’s activities, like geeking out over anime, reading doujinshi, and going to conventions. Among the people he meets is Kousaka’s girlfriend, Saki Kasukabe—a staunch non-otaku who is trying to make her boyfriend less of an otaku.
Saki grapples with understanding otaku culture and her boyfriend’s enthusiasm, but Sasahara flourishes within Genshiken, shedding his previous inhibitions and fully embracing the otaku lifestyle.

Narue no Sekai :

The World of Narue – is actually a fairly lighthearted sci-fi romance anime which actually contradicts that time schoolgirl cliché. The anime revolves around an alien girl named Narue Nanase and 14-year-old Izuka Kazuto. Narue despite being an alien, lives like a normal schoolgirl but is a more confident, self-secure, open-minded girl. Although Narue’s alien status does not bother Kazuto, it does lead to some adventure as they attempt to elude the Galactic Inspector, and travel through time. The anime is pretty well done, and its strength lies in the portrayal of characters. The World of Narue is pretty much a character-driven show, and cosplay, otaku element is superficially touched but enjoyable.
Ultra Maniac :

Ultra Maniac sure a pretty weird title but it is by Yoshizumi Wataru, the same mangaka who created Marmalade Boy. Plot revolves around Nina Sakura – a young clumsy witch, from the Magic Kingdom and Ayu Tateishi – a popular middle schooler. Nina travels to Earth to collect the five Holy Stones required for her to win as she is a candidate princess , competing with her childhood friend, Maya Orihara. On Earth, she meets Ayu who discovers her magical powers and now have to help Nina with her mission to find the five Holy Stones in her conquest which is not going to be easy as they face challenges from their school life and magical kingdom.
